You will work with other enterprise architects, application developers, and business associates to create and integrate solutions that address business and regulatory needs in the dynamic, investment management industry.

You will focus on portfolio accounting and trade settlement functionality, in addition to related back-office supporting systems. You will interact heavily with architects and application team members from investment accounting, trade processing and market data management areas to ensure comprehensive solutions.

Your solution responsibilities will span software development processes (design, development, and implementation) through information management and analytics functions associated with Capital Group's trade settlement and portfolio accounting processes.

What we expect you to bring

Significant software development experience (5-7 years) from ideation phase, through requirements analysis, and design phases, including implementation phases. Prefer familiarity with Microsoft .net or JAVA technology stacks, Oracle, and MS SQL Server, along with the proven ability to learn new technologies, and a proven ability to design and implement large scale solutions. Prefer experience with cloud application development tools and technologies.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with a wide range of project stakeholders from senior business and IT leadership to application development team members, and project managers. Passionate about communicating the architecture message.

Possess excellent presentation skills with the ability to sell your ideas/solutions to business and IT stakeholders, while maintaining an ability to effectively adapt your leadership style to various situations. Strong negotiation skills preferred.

Must be able to interact with different stakeholder groups while effectively navigating existing organizational processes and structures to understand differing perspectives. Must be able to effectively manage ambiguous situations in a calm, productive manner to produce positive outcomes that will set direction for architecture strategies.

Very strong problem solving skills with the demonstrated ability to ask appropriate questions to collect and assemble the necessary requirements to understand how your solution will fit into CG's future state, Investment Systems Architecture.

Impassioned team player, with a demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate and engage with business and IT stakeholders and application teams while working through EA processes to create solutions that meet CG back-office business/technology needs.

Proven ability to assess and estimate business and technology costs/benefits for architecture solutions while exercising appropriate judgment to implement to deliver "right-size" solutions.

Strong knowledge of architecture domains including:

Information architecture - familiarity with data structures, data models, information concepts and database technologies. Exposure /familiarity with information strategy patterns: data warehouses, data marts, operational data stores, data hubs, along with knowledge/experience for appropriate application of these patterns in the architecture solution process.

Integration Architecture - familiarity with integration patterns, point-to-point, file transfer, messaging hubs, web-services, and enterprise service busses.

Solution Architecture -- ability to merge architecture principles/concepts from the appropriate architecture domains to create highly effective solutions to address Capital Group's business challenges and problems, while advancing Capital Group's technology capabilities.

Business Architecture - exposure to business architecture concepts including business capability models and business process models. Demonstrated ability to learn business models/functionality. Prefer knowledge and interest in the investment industry.
