Position Summary

GOLFTEC is looking to for an experienced Web and UX Developer to join our technology team. This position will support the needs of our marketing department and collaborate on the creation of mobile applications. This individual will be embedded with the marketing team but will report to the technology development manager. Web and UX Developer responsibilities include, building custom HTML5/JavaScript pages and resources under the UI guidance of the marketing team for our in-house CMS system, as well as, being the front-line resource for marketing for other browser-based software solutions. This position will also contribute to mobile and web UX development with other technology resources. Act as a liaison between technology and the marketing departments, attending regular meetings with both groups.

Essential Functions

* Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using software development best-practices
* Complete well documented UX guidelines for web and mobile projects
* Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical and end-user needs
* Collaborate with marketing department designers to match visual design intent
* Document usage of various web based tools in our company Knowledge Base

Qualifications

Proven working experience in responsive web programming

* Proven working experience in mobile UX design
* Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern responsive design using HTML, CSS and Javascript
* A solid understanding of how HTML5 web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
* Ideal candidate would have experience with basic PHP including accessing MySQL databases
* Significant experience with Adobe's Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) including the ability to optimize imagery for web delivery and prepare creative layouts for integration into HTML projects
* Understanding of Apple and Android best practices for mobile app interface design
* Experience with JQuery and/or additional Javascript libraries
* Experience with Sencha ExtJS/Touch a plus
* Experience with web streaming media (HLS) and at least one HTML based media player
* Experience with code versioning systems (eg: SVN, Git)
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
* Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
