Job Description
Support a major program at the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) within the National Capital Region.
Duties and responsibilities include:
1) Providing forensic infrastructure engineering expertise in support of exploitation lab operations.
2) Designing and developing equipment, processes, and systems that involve data networks, storage, processing, and data communications.
3) Imaging systems, and building and maintaining images.
4) Troubleshooting hardware; configuring computers and servers; and repairing workstations, servers, and networks.
5) Analyzing equipment specifications and process requirements to architect a practical design.
6) Creating and maintaining technical procedures, documentation, and manuals.
7) Compiling and analyzing operational data, and directing testing, to establish standards for new designs or modifications to existing equipment, systems, or processes.
8) Performing a variety of system administration functions.
Required Skills, Certification, Experience, and Education:
1) Requires a Bachelor's degree in a computer technology-related field and at least eight (8) years of related experience. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
2) Minimum of three (3) years specialized hardware/system engineering, and systems admin experience, and a computer technology-related degree
Skills: a) Experience analyzing and installing communications systems with system administration experience in support of network systems, network servers, and desktop computers. b) Experience working independently and under tight timelines. c) Experience conveying technical information effectively and concisely to non-technical audiences. d) Experience requiring knowledge of computer forensics and exploitation systems, processing, and applications. e) Experience working with storage solutions. f) Experience analyzing and installing computer-based systems; local area networks; and fiber optic cables. g) Experience designing and fabricating specialized interconnected cable solutions.
Required Clearance: The candidate must be a US Citizen. Work on this contract will be "TS/SCI" level. Must be able to pass a CI polygraph prior to starting. Candidates must be clearable and must be willing to adhere to the clearance process.
