We have an opportunity for a software process engineer within the Naval Radar Software Department in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The Naval Radar Software Department mission is to provide world class Radar Software to be used in military systems deployed at sea and on land. Our software teams employ an Agile Scrum process to rapidly design, code, integrate and test capabilities on a continuous basis into a mature solution for our customers.

We are seeking a Process Engineer to join the Radar Software Product Line (RSPL) Process Team in an Agile development environment. The RSPL Process Team members support the multi-variant needs of the Product Line (PL) including several programs and 200+ engineers as directed by the PL Process Team Lead. Responsibilities include support to PL programs in metrics reporting, Contract Data Requirements Listing (CDRL) creation and tracking for submission to the customer, support to Estimate At Completions (EACs), support to customer reviews/meetings, writing/maintaining process artifacts, Software Development Plans (SDPs), Measurement & Analysis Plans, Product Line Training Support, Org. Chart updates, and Program Work Instructions (WIs), wiki updates, and Guidelines.

The PL Process Team is also responsible for ensuring that the related files are approved by the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead and are ultimately reported to the SEPG. As part of the monthly Tracking Book metrics, the Process Engineer will develop and analyze data related to Agile metrics, SLOC, Productivity, Defects, and Earned Value (EV). The SW Process Engineer also is a key participant in audits and/or assessments on program processes and/or products. The Process Engineer will facilitate Process Improvement Discussions (PIDs) and launch R6S projects to continuously improve Product Line processes. The SW Process Engineer will provide training and conduct Community of Practice (CoPs) meetings, to ensure the engineers are knowledgeable of Product Line development processes.

The RSPL Process Team is also responsible for supporting closed area lab construction and seating, and onboarding of new team members. The RSPL Process Team Lead reports directly to the Software Product Line Director and the team supports presentations and meetings to upper level management as well.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

These position can be a salary grade G08 or G09 based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.

Required Skills:

* 4 plus years' experience on all phases of Software product lifecycle
* 1 plus years' leadership experience
* Ability to work on a high paced and challenging scrum team in support of multiple programs in a Agile Product Line environment
* Demonstrated experience with process improvement and training
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* This position will require the ability to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.

Desired Skills:

* Existing secret clearance, or ability to obtain an interim clearance within 60 days
* Agile software development experience in a DoD environment
* Raytheon Six Sigma certification
* Self-starter with strong problem solving ability
* Previous experience/exposure in the following:
* Software Project Management
* CMMI Appraisal support, including evidence collection and interview participation
* Auditing experience
* Cost Account Management
* Earned Value Reporting and Variance Analysis
* Creation of training packages
* Proposal preparation and estimation process including EAC and BOE development
* Software Tools: Rational Rhapsody, ClearCase, and Team Concert, Jenkins, DOORS
* Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Software Engineering

Required Education (Including Major):

* BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Software Engineering or related STEM degree
