Microsoft Managed Desktop (MMD) is a ground breaking, new Service offering from Microsoft. We leverage Microsoft 365, cloud management, and Microsoft endpoint security offerings to create a secure and productive computing environment for Enterprises.

MMD is the easiest way to delight users and free up IT.

We are building and leading an offering that is customer-first, cloud-enabled offering that uses latest services Microsoft has to offer:

* Cloud management tools (Azure Active Directory, Intune, and Analytics)
* Security management (Defender properties, Security Operations)
* Windows and Office 365

Being an engineering team, MMD engineers also participate in the design and implementation of future capabilities of the M365 software and service stack.

Basic Qualifications:

* Comfortable learning and growing in a fast paced, start-up environment.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Science or related field
* 6+ years of software development experience
* Strong track record of innovation and breaking new ground
* Expertise with web or application development with full-stack (data engineering, micro-service design)
* Interface design with coding proficiency in C#, .NET, React, JavaScript, node.js, or equivalent languages/frameworks
* Strong software development design, patterns and practices, debugging and troubleshooting and problem solving skills
* Experience and comfort with open source frameworks
* Experience using GIT/GitHub for version control
* Experience creating/managing Azure Devops build and release pipelines
* Appreciation of Engineering, IT Operations, and Service Management in the Cloud era and how it is different from traditional IT

Skills

* A passion for making software engineering more efficient by designing and developing solutions (Services/Tools) at scale and make data driven decisions
* Passion for designing experiences that enables Accessibility
* Unit tested, monitored, and instrumented are your default settings
* Excellent communication, collaboration skills
* Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code

Front-end Qualifications:

* HTML 5 and CSS3
* DOM manipulation
* Modern TypeScript/JavaScript techniques and core concepts
* Core UI rendering libraries including React and Knockout
* Experience using and configuring open source libraries like Microsoft/Office Fabric, Material UI, Bootstrap
* Experience implementing data visualizations using libraries like D3, C3, ChartJS
* UI state management using Redux/MobX
* Styling using CSS-in-JS libraries or SCSS
* Build tooling (NodeJS, NPM/Yarn, WebPack/Parcel, Babel, FuseBox, Gulp)
* Testing libraries like Jest, Enzyme, MochaJS
* Designing, implementing and testing for accessibility (a11y) with knowledge of WCAG 2.1, ARIA and screen readers

Back-end Qualifications:

* Experience implementing APIs/MicroServices using NodeJS (ex. Express) and DotNetCore
* Experience implementing and consuming Azure stack technologies like Storage, Function Apps, CosmosDB
* Experience with SQL Server, SQL Azure, database design concepts and writing T-SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

* Proven track record of strong customer advocate and creative problem solver
* Ability to quickly ramp up, understand complex problems, and create solutions across many products (e.g. Windows, Office, Enterprise Management, Azure)
* Experience with Service Management, Operations, and Support a plus
* Ambitious, self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
