Working under the direction of the Senior Engineering Manager, will be responsible for accelerating the development of JavaScript at MathWorks, serving as a primary resource for sharing reusable code across a variety of products and build systems; developing tools and infrastructure for sharing modular JavaScript features across projects; and providing tools and standards to develop high-quality JavaScript code for projects with varying distribution models.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master's degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Science and Engineering and no experience.

OR

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Science and Engineering and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in development or technical support of tools and infrastructure design using JavaScript.

Special Requirements:

* Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript development, including performing continuous integration using TeamCity and Jenkins; build and bundling using Dojo build tools and Webpack; task automation using Grunt and Gulp; and Make build automation using Makefile.
* Demonstrated expertise analyzing, developing and debugging Java, C++, or MATLAB-based applications using Ant or Maven.
* Demonstrated expertise developing JavaScript code for JavaScript module systems -- AMD or CommonJS -- using Node.js.
* Demonstrated expertise programming in JavaScript and Perl.
