Job Description:
Senior Technology Program Manager with financial services and Technology experience. The candidate for this role will be a member of the Corporate Compliance AML Client List Screening Technology organization. The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for managing and executing technology initiatives associated with the technology AML Client Lists Screening portfolio.
The Client List Screening Technology team supports regulatory and compliance requirements with applications that monitor and report on suspected anti-money laundering activities via screening activities of individuals and companies. Existing applications continue to be re-tooled and expanded to include global capabilities. We partner with our clients to evolve business capabilities and provide solutions and services that support continuous improvement.
Responsibilities Include:
Managing day to day work streams associated with AML Client List screening technology to drive execution and delivery. The candidate will support alignment to strategic platforms and solutions. This includes maintenance to legacy platform and processes as well as new projects and initiatives
Identify and work with key stake holders (Compliance & Operations), other business units, and other IT groups to coordinate and facilitate meeting goals while managing relationships with each.
Work with stakeholders and management to ensure project scope definition meets business objectives and business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives
Drive adherence to project processes, procedures, methods, and standards for project delivery and leverage across the project
Direct the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis
reviewing, collating and summarizing project updates into a weekly program update for management
Identify risks which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary
Manage data, and produce metrics and reports required to track program progress, produce Senior Management scorecards, and support ad-hoc analyses
Develop presentations for Program Manager and Group Manager to use with Senior Management
Drive team's agile adoption and transformation
Support the development of the various plans (strategic; program / project plans); maintain the master project plans and manage change requests
Facilitate the adoption of standard processes and tools (i.e., status reporting, escalation of risks and issues, and change control)
Participate and help drive RFP / RFI processes
Liaise with other application groups to scope out legacy systems
Coordinate and monitor the scheduling, pricing, deliverables and technical performance of projects and making sure that the plans for achieving these goals run smoothly and efficiently, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget
Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules. Facilitate the identification of risks and issues which impact project delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed by developing solutions to program problems. Recognize areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementing them.
Directs work of incumbents assigned to program within the group and from various departments. This may include direct management of local resources.
Defines resources and the schedule for the implementation of the program by setting project goals and milestones
Support financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Actively participate in data analysis, problem resolution and application testing.
Develop and present user training on new/enhanced system functions.
Qualifications:
Must have 12-15+ years of experience running technical projects with an AML objective.
Strong Information Technology experience; Must be able to work well with application developers. Financial or related financial industry experience
BA/BS in relevant Technology-related field (Computer Science, MIS, IS, EE, etc.)
Prior experience in the financial industry with AML Compliance Surveillance will allow the prospective candidate to hit the ground running
Experience with projects in multiple technologies, functions (e.g. transaction management, risk management etc.) and industries
Knowledge and experience using project management software such as Clarity, Microsoft Project, JIRA, etc.
Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team management, leadership and coaching skills
Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize; strong attention to detail; ability to work in a dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to drive all tasks until objectives and dates are met
Experience in all phases of systems development/project life cycle; strong capabilities in managing the creation of high quality project deliverables
Detail-oriented coupled with the ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness
Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever-changing business questions and needs
Self-motivated with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Project Management Certification a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop strong client relationships
Experience in Anti-Money Laundering, Sanction Screening, Investigations, or Data Management
Experience managing very technical projects
Aptitude for understanding both the business and technical specifics of that business
