Job Description

Bing local search team serves millions of users every day to help users complete tasks end to end, such as booking a hotel, reserving a restaurant table, build a vacation plan, and getting a taxi using state of art data mining and machine learning technology. This trend is accelerated by the mobile devices, equipped with the mobile web to keep user always online, multiple sensors to extend user inputs from texts to speech, images, location and connect online to offline, cloud computation to enable intelligent inferences and large-scale data mining, and native apps to deliver compelling user experiences. With this, search engine's role is to connect people with services, turn intentions into actions lightning fast, and eventually make your mobile devices as your personal task assistant.

The developer will have flexibility to work on variation of large-scale data mining, and machine learning projects, such as local query slot detection, query intent modeling, entity understanding. This is a unique opportunity for you to develop you skill in end to end online business, learn and grow in a result driven product team, especially learn and apply your machine learning knowledge and techniques.

* 5+ years programming experiences in C++/C#.
* Strong coding, problem solving and data modeling & analysis skills.
* Passionate and self-motivated.
* Experiences in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, natural language processing, query understanding.
* Ability to drive cross team collaborations and ship production features in a fast-paced startup environment.
* Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Customer/end result driven in design and development.
