Job Description
Education equivalent to BA/BS degree and/or technical certifications such as CCNP, CCIE.
Five or more years of related experience providing network and infrastructure design/support
Technical skills required
4-5 years progressively responsible experience in designing, implementing and supporting LANs/WANs/WLANs
2-3 years' experience with network security platforms and technologies such as ASA and IPSEC
2-3 years' experience with implementing and configuring Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN devices
Strong network and server troubleshooting skills and ability to train Tier I & II technicians
Extensive knowledge of interior and exterior routing protocols such as, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
Knowledge of commercial enterprise-level tools and products to provide network services, including: firewalls, DNS, DHCP, web security, TACACS+, VPN and NAC.

The Network Engineer will be a primary contributor in the design, implementation and management of corporate network infrastructure to meet growth, service and reliability requirements. Responsibilities include:
Designing, planning and implementing physical and logical data and communications networks
Manage and support the LAN WAN product delivery networks to standards of capacity, availability, security, and accuracy.
Network security review, standardization and documentation
Act as Tier III support for firewalls, load balancers, routing, and switching.
Product and technology evaluation and recommendations
Working closely with other technical teams to provide solutions
Resolving Tier III issues escalated from Tier II technicians
Serving as an information resource and a mentor for Tier I & II technicians
Ensuring infrastructure meets compliance controls and framework
Activities
Design and plan the network architecture, network infrastructure and LAN/WAN/Security/Wireless solutions
Design and document Data Center and remote office data layout and the use of the Storage Area Network
Work closely with other technical teams to provide solutions to issues
Implement and configure routers/switches/firewalls
Capacity Planning: Analyzes facilities bandwidth requirements and system interdependencies. Develops capacity planning models.
Disaster Recovery: Ensures planned testing activities are performed and technical criteria are met.
Network Monitoring: Analyzes network activity and network problems to discover and prevent systematic errors. Recommends network design changes/enhancements for improved systems availability and performance
Issue Resolution: Troubleshoots, diagnoses and resolves network problems. Researches, analyzes and recommends the implementation of software or hardware changes to rectify any network deficiencies or to enhance network performance.
Troubleshoot escalated issues from lower tier team members and provide technical training to Tier I & II Technician.
