Senior Manager - IT Program Management Office (IT PMO)

Reporting to the Director, IT Business Enablement & Project Management Office, the Senior Manager - IT Program Management Office (IT PMO) is responsible for supporting the IT-PMO and manage the day-to-day activities within this department to ensure programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. Implements and provides guidance related to PMO processes and policies, oversees the work of project management team, and works with the business leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. This person may be solely responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.

About the Job:

PMO Quality & Governance

* Develop & define best practices, processes, project management tools, and PMO templates.
* Provide project management support and guidance to the IT organization.
* Maintain a quality lens on the project management, requirements, documentation/analysis, and testing processes.
* Provide organizational change management support as projects are implemented.
* Continue to re-assess opportunities for project management process improvements.

Portfolio Management

* High-level management of the IT department's project portfolio.
* Work with leadership to plan, define, and deploy strategic initiatives.
* Manage competing demands, business priorities, project scope, and cross-functional integration.
* Focus on strong stakeholder communication and project updates.
* Risk management, including risk assessment strategy and policies as appropriate.
* Focus on the overall portfolio and coordinating resource utilization.
* Provide regular analysis and feedback on all phases of projects to IT Leadership.

Organizational Engagement

* Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with our internal business units.
* Develops strong relationships with internal clients, IT management, IT technical staff and peers to define project goals, timelines and identifying and deploying resources to meet target completion dates.
* Develop and maintain positive & effective relationships with the organization, & forecast long-term needs and solutions.
* Engage stakeholders across the organization to deliver results.

Team Development & Management

* Directly lead, mentor, and develop the PMO team.
* Create and promote a collaborative environment, in which knowledge and skills are shared to facilitate efficient and timely delivery of projects.
* Provide oversight in managing team workload.
* Develop the team's professional skills and proficiencies.

About You:

* Bachelor's Degree required.
* Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in program/project management, portfolio management, systems development methodology.
* Proven understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Six Sigma, and of SDLC, iterative and related methodologies.
* Ability to pull a diverse group of stakeholders with different goals together and facilitate productive discussions.
* Ability to work well within an environment of frequently changing priorities, adapt as needed, and develop a solution-oriented approach.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.
* Ability to communicate professionally & effectively to both technical and business teams, across all levels of the organization. Excellent presentation skills & comfort around senior leadership.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders and develop a solution-oriented approach.
* Acquisition due diligence and integration experience.
* Commitment to company values.
* Experience in manufacturing and SAP.
* Prior experience working in a global environment.
