Job Description

AstraZeneca is seeking highly motivated recent graduates for a rotational development program within Biopharmaceutical Development (BPD). The 2-year program will provide three rotational assignments in the BPD core functions that are critical to our drug development. The rotations are designed to offer challenging projects in a dynamic environment and to afford wide-ranging insight into our organization and into advancing one of the strongest, most robust pipelines in industry.

Requirements/Qualifications: The Rotational Associates Program (RAP) hires top talent with a BS or MS degree in science, engineering, or similar fields, and limited work experience. We are looking for candidates with excellent verbal and written communication skills, a passion for learning, demonstrated scientific excellence in schooling and applied work and the proven ability to work effectively as part of teams.

The Program: Participants in the Rotational Associates Program will be placed in 3 rotational assignments, lasting approximately 8 months each. Rotational programs can be tailored to a participants' interests and are designed to provide a diverse skill set and wide-ranging experience highly relevant to biopharmaceutical development. During each rotation, hires will have to opportunity to work on challenging projects and participate in day-to-day activities of the department. For each rotation, candidates will be assigned to a manager in their host function who oversees activities and provides training and guidance. In addition, hires will be paired with a mentor for the duration of the entire program. Candidates will be encouraged to present their work at the end of each rotation to gain experience in presenting and for others to get exposure to the individuals and their work, to participate in company-offered trainings and networking events, and to take part in activities that are specifically designed to facilitate connection among RAP participants. Candidates will be placed in a functional full-time role at the end of the 2-year rotational period, based on participant interest, performance assessments and feedback from managers, and business needs.
