RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead research and organization work in the area of human-robot interfaces.



Create prototype hardware testbeds using various sensor and bio-sensor systems.

Collaborate with others to produce perceptually validated hardware and software solutions.

Communicate and work closely with other expert researchers on topics from machine learning, to novel sensors, to human perception.

Define fundamental challenges and long-term vision for your own research as well as for your collaborative teams.

Learn constantly, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR/VR problem solving.

Patent and publish high impact discoveries.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a PhD degree or completing a postdoctoral assignment in the field of robotics, biomechanics, biomedical engineering, or related field.



4+ years experience in biomechanics, human subject research, and sensor hardware.

2+ years experience in collaborative mechanical material analysis and software engineering projects.

Experience in C++ and MATLAB.

Track record of biomechanics focused publications/patents.

Must be available to start employment on or after June 1, 2019.

Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Interpersonal experience: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Extensive experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and software issues of robotic systems.



Experience with perceptual research experimental design.

Experience leading and mentoring other researchers.
