Role Summary:Looking for an experienced Release Manager and Agile practitioner responsible for delivering software applications and components for Energy Market Management Systems (MMS). In this position, you will apply your knowledge of software development methodologies to deliver quality software per agreed schedule/budget and coach development teams in their transformation to an Agile methodology.
Essential Responsibilities:
This specific position will be within a large Engineering group in charge of delivering software components to Electrical Utilities.
Closely work with Product Managers and Development teams to establish release plans and drive execution meeting scope, schedule and quality requirements.
Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality
Demonstrate practical experience in Agile Methodology to runs scrums and stand-ups to collaborate with engineering teams and support them with scope considerations, product requirements.
Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations
Coordinate release content and effort based on the service request backlog, pending service requests, third party applications, or operating system updates
Communicate all key project plans, commitments, and changes including requirements, QA plans, schedule, and scope changes
Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams at different locations
Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience
Eligibility Requirements

Desired Characteristics:
Define execution plan and approach based on project scope, expected timeline and available budget/resources
Experience playing the Scrum Master role for at least one year for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
Work with globally located technical team often comprising of members of separate organizations to coordinate day-to-day execution as per outlined plan
Ensure pre-defined project management processes and practices are followed. Drive simplification and improvement as necessary
Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required
Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project
Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting
Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations
Dynamically adapt to fluid situations to deliver the intended results
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Ability to form productive relationships quickly and create the spheres of influence required for transformational changes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in using Jira and other tools to manage backlog and requirements processes
