Job Description

The Network Administrator monitors, maintains and supports the company network, focusing on LANs at our

headquarters and WAN links that serve all offices in the Chicago Metro Area. The candidate ensures network performance meets

company and user requirements.

Essential Duties:

* Maintains established network specifications
* Maintains network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency;

planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; following network policies and

* procedures; manages connections and firewalls
* Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting
* network problems; escalating problems to vendor
* Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation
* Monitors Network Backups, Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Patching and Event Log Monitoring
* Works closely with the Information Security Officer and Help Desk to ensure connectivity for all devices and backup to the

company's Systems Administrator

* 1-5 Years of Network administration experience
* Experience with services like DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Switching technologies
* Network setup and maintenance. Services Include VMWare, Patch Management, Anti-Virus Print management, VoIP, Cisco

experience a plus.

* Comprehensive experience with network hardware setup and maintenance
* Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
* Ability to communicate technical information and training to non-technical personnel
* Solid organizational skills with the ability to set and track priorities
* Ongoing desire to learn new technologies
* Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
* Working technical knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and O365
* Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records
* Microsoft MCSE Technical Certification
* Bachelors of Science degree
