Job Summary
AECOM is seeking contingency-hire
Junior (Jr.) Engineer candidates to support future Task Order awards for our 300 M Street SE, Washington DC office.
Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operations, and maintenance of electronic equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis, or review team.
Essential Responsibilities:
1.Perform design, development or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision.
2.Design a portion or section of an analysis or design review.
3.Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data.
4.Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence.
5.Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status.
6.Develop, maintain and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications.
7.Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
8.Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures.
Minimum Requirements
* Active SECRET level government security clearance, which requires US citizenship
* Bachelors degree in Engineering, or related scientific field and 0-1 year of job-related experience or equivalent
* Good communications and analytical skills
* Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs
* Position may require travel
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Engineering or related field
* 1 year of experience in Navy shipbuilding and defense systems
* Experience in surface combatant ships
