Requisition Number: 30648 Job Title: ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST Working Title: Digital Designer - Web Content and Applications Salary: 20.89-41.37 Job Type: Contract Department Name: 0300-ANDERSON GRAD SCH OF MANAGEMENT Department Website URL: Job Summary Statement: The Digital Designer plays a critical role in helping the school use web design and front-end development to communicate a strong and consistent brand to our audiences. Ensures that digital materials from across the school are professional-looking and technically compatible in all applications.

The position requires a self-directed person with exceptional skills in graphic design and front-end web development, including hand coding of HTML/CSS. The position also requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Create content for the school's website. Modify and design components, interactive elements, simple animations, infographics and other special features.

Develop web-based marketing materials including banner ads, landing pages, HTML e-mail messages, newsletters and content for social media and mobile apps.

Create identity design for school event and organizations.

Administer the school's content management system and provide support for the school's content developers. Help developers meet the needs of web visitors while conforming with UCLA Anderson Brand Resource guidelines. Serve as a primary contact for training and supporting developers.

Help create and integrate content across all channels. Monitor new developments in website and social media for use by the school. Percentage of Time: 100 Shift Start: 8:00 am Shift End: 5:30 pm Qualifications for Position

Demonstrated skill using a PC in a LAN environment. Ability to assimilate new software.

Demonstrated skill using MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Working knowledge of Dreamweaver.

Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS (including inline styling)

Expert knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

Exceptional graphic design ability

Experience in Web site maintenance and administration.

Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop

Required

Working knowledge of encoding videos for streaming and downloading

Knowledge of the basic concepts of database-driven Web applications

Excellent communication skills

Working knowledge digital video production using Final Cut Pro

Required

Demonstrated writing ability. Strong knowledge of Adobe Flash.

Detailed knowledge of English spelling, grammar and punctuation. Demonstrated writing ability.

Strong knowledge of editorial publishing frameworks. Detailed knowledge of English spelling, grammar and punctuation.
