Job Description

A career in our Master Limited Partnerships Technology practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions. Our team helps organisations with Tax reporting for large or complex partnership structures. You'll be part of team that is organised into three core functional areas: tax team, client team, and technology team. Both the client and tax teams directly leverage their subject matter expertise against a variety of custom applications to deliver a high level of value to our clients.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
* Train and lead staff
* Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
* Contribute to the development of your own and team's technical acumen
* Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
* Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
* Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

MCSA, MCSE, MCITP: Server Administrator and/or MCITP: Enterprise Administrator

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success serving in a role monitoring and diagnosing technical issues with production systems. Demonstrates considerable hands-on knowledge of and/or proven success in each of the following areas: scripting language (Powershell preferred); Azure DevOps or similar tools, including source code, task, build and release management; MS Windows Server technologies (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, etc.); TCP/IP operations, IP subnetting, routing, switching and LAN/WAN troubleshooting; MS SQL Server or similar; storage technologies such as RAID, DAS, SAN; web hosting configuration components, including firewalls, load balancers, web and database servers (clustering experience is a plus); Visual Studio 2015 and up; cloud based development, infrastructure automation and management (Rackspace, AWS, Azure); and HTML, JavaScript, Object oriented development (C# preferred). Possess some hands-on knowledge of and/or proven success working in, on-call environments. Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks while embracing change. Must be detailed in documenting information and practice good follow-through techniques. Highly motivated and interested in taking the initiative for their personal growth and development. Possess a client service orientation combined with creative problem-solving skills; written and oral communication skills; the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Demonstrates proven thorough ability and/or direct, hands-on knowledge of all areas associated with the Systems Administration including design, testing, implementation, and support. Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader: creating a positive environment by monitoring workloads of the team while meeting client expectations and respecting the work-life quality of team members; providing candid, meaningful feedback in a timely manner; keeping leadership informed of progress and issues; answering questions and providing direction to less-experienced staff.

As a tax technical professional, demonstrates ability to research business and industry trends to develop a point of view to leverage in assisting with proposals, considering opportunities across multiple lines of service.

Experimentation with automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to: - innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions;

* working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.

Exposure to pricing, client value and the negotiation process - including reviewing contracts and finding opportunities to introduce new pricing options.
