Duties & Responsibilities
Energid Technologies develops advanced software and robotic systems for the aerospace, agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, defense, and medical industries. Energid's Actin® software is a powerful control framework and operating system for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical robots that is sold as a cross-platform application and extensible software toolkit. Energid specializes in the control, simulation, and sensing of complex robotic systems.
Energid Technologies has full-time openings for Senior Robotics Control System Engineers. Candidates must be exceptional at robotics math, algorithms, and software concepts and have proficiency in C++ programming. The ideal candidate will be responsible for algorithm design and implementation of kinematic and dynamic simulation, path planning, and control software components. He or she will participate in the development of software for medical, industrial, and offshore-drilling applications, and will be responsible for reports, customer interfacing, and technical writing. The Senior Engineer will integrate successful research results into Energid's commercial software and integrated products.
Relocation to the Boston area preferred but not required.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required
A highly qualified candidate will have the following:
An MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent and deep understanding of mathematical robotics concepts
A PhD is preferred
Expert knowledge of robot kinematics and dynamics algorithms
Expert knowledge of motion planning and/or global path planning is a must
Advanced professional knowledge of object oriented C++
Publication authorship
Superior oral and written communication skills
Love of robotics
