The Clinical Operations group delivers on Gilead's dedication to bringing life-saving therapies to people in need. Bring your unique perspective to the Clinical Contracts and Finance team and enjoy the flexibility to strike the balance between process and change. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* This leadership role is responsible for delivery of scale-able and reusable integration and API solutions architecture and design
* Define and publish best practices and standards for design of integration and API's on Gilead's integration and APIGEE platforms
* Work with the API platform team to define the vision and road map for API's for the enterprise
* Manage a small team of architects to deliver integration and API's projects
* Establish a center within integration and API's
* Work closely with application, network, and security teams to ensure requirements are reflected appropriately in the API architecture design patterns
* Provide consultation, design, architecture reviews and oversight to ensure adherence to standard methodologies and technologies
Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in an IS/IT related field
* 3+ years leading and developing high performing teams
* 5+ years' experience designing and implementing large scale, global, complex and distributed solutions demonstrating APIs, API management, and microservices
* 4+ years of experience developing services and APIs for integration with mobile applications
* 2+ years of hands on API management experience with Google APIGEE
* Deep understanding of modern application design and development patterns and standard methodologies
* Experience with agile development methodologies and crafting for Continuous Integration/Continuous delivery models
* Experience with iPaaS integration platforms?
* Knowledge of infrastructure solutions, platform migration, system security, enterprise directories, and cloud technologies
* Capable of technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases, and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership and business application partners
* Knowledge of standard methodologies for IT operations in an always-on, always-available service model
* Experience with GxP compliance for pharmaceutical manufacturing
