Founded in the UK in 2011 by our CEO Matt Barker, MPB is on a mission to revolutionise the way people access photography and videography equipment. By focusing on the used market, we have brought sustainability into the core of the business and we are dedicated to developing the accessibility of gear.

MPB expanded into the US market in 2016 with our office in Brooklyn and we opened our office in Berlin in 2020. Following our successful Series D Investment [https://www.mpb.com/en-uk/info/series-d-investment/](url) we have focused on scaling up our headcount and processes.

Our Product & Engineering team are based in the UK and have grown from a team of 20 at the start of 2021 to a team of 46 as of April 2022. A keen investment in technology is at the forefront of the company’s mission with a clear vision of what our product should be. We take a cloud native approach to development and infrastructure with lots of room for experimentation and improvement. We foster a culture of quality and openness within the team.
