Lift AI is a technology company building hardware and software to transform the $100B global elevator industry with modern tech. Founded by a 20-year veteran of the industry whose family business has been in the industry for over 40 years, and joined more recently by a hacker-turned-computer-engineer as CTO, Lift AI started by developing a sensor-based product for remotely monitoring the condition of an elevator. While an MCU-based version (evolved from a CPU-based architecture) of this device readies for release this Fall, Lift AI has recently begun work on a audio & video communications platform for elevators, to meet the needs of a recent regulatory code-change that has come to the industry and will effect >1M elevators installed currently.

Whereas historically the elevator industry has been one of “bending steel & turning bolts” with firmware needs for control systems, the industry is starting to see the first signs of “software is eating the world” come to its doorstep. Lift AI is targeting this trend and is well positioned with legacy connections in the industry for sales & distribution of software products/services, and a CTO who brings full stack development experience and a modern approach to software development & engineering toolsets and methods.

With a tech stack and products spanning the disciplines of DSP, computer vision, electrical engineering, firmware, cloud, web, and frontend development, the work at Lift AI is extremely rewarding to the curious mind that enjoys learning multiple disciplines spanning several areas of technical expertise.
