Flybits was founded in 2013 to commercialize the pioneering work on context-aware computing and ubiquitous computing done by Dr. Hossein Rahnama and his team at Ryerson University. Flybits today is a passionate and innovative team with offices in Palo Alto, CA and Toronto, ON, dedicated to putting context at the service of app developers and the enterprises they support.
Our mission is to create the standard software that makes it easy to gather all available data that make up a user's context, and synthesize that information to curate and deliver a rich, personalized omni-channel experience to each user. We envision context as more than location, mobile as more than an app, and a user as more than just a profile.
We bring the digital world closer to the real world by understanding the context of each mobile user, personalizing the mobile experience for them, and protecting their privacy during the whole digital journey. Demanding enterprise customers use the Flybits context-as-a-service software every day to deliver elegant, powerful, engaging, and valuable mobile experiences to their consumers.
Many have talked about and done research on context-aware mobile services over the past few years. We've delivered it as a comprehensive, easy-to-use SaaS product. Our customers today use Flybits to power mobile apps for Android and iOS smart phones, tablets, and wearables including Apple Watch and Android Wear. That's the first step toward delivering on our founding vision that includes harnessing the enormous trove of real-time sensory information that will come from the Internet of Things, to deliver even richer and more relevant personal experiences.
