EARLY STORY
Floydware was founded by a salon owner who decided it was more exciting and challenging to help solve problems and inefficiencies for ALL salons, not just his own.
TECHNOLOGY
The core applications were built on Java in 2005 and with plenty of incremental enhancements and upgrades since then, remains in the forefront of capability and function amid a highly competitive industry. As of 2013, all new applications have been built with Ruby on Rails. All databases are MySQL.
HOW WE HIRE
How many golf balls fit into a school bus? We don't care. How many window washers are needed to clean the buildings in Seattle? Seriously? Neither of these have any bearing on whether you're a good person and know how to craft qualiity software.
Rest assured, you'll have to show what you know. After a phone interview, we'll ask you to write software for us in a pairing environment, and we'll ask plenty of questions until we're both comfortable with each other.
