It has been created by Arthur Hayes, Ben Delo and Sam Reed, the founders of HDR Global Trading, the company behind the cryptocurrency derivatives trading platform, BitMEX.

The founding team at 100x consists of best-of-class professionals in finance, web development, and high-frequency algorithmic trading.

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer - Arthur Hayes

After graduating with a degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business, Arthur lived in Hong Kong as an equity derivatives trader. He was the market-maker for Deutsche Bank and Citibank’s Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) businesses. He also has extensive experience trading equity index futures, forwards, and swaps as well as non-deliverable FX forwards. Arthur brings a deep understanding of how to structure and trade financial derivatives.

Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer - Ben Delo

Ben graduated from the University of Oxford with a Masters and First Class Honours in Mathematics and Computer Science. He has over ten years experience developing high-frequency trading systems for companies such as J.P. Morgan and IBM, dealing predominately in KDB+/Q. His expertise covers the design, architecture and implementation of quantitative infrastructure, systems and tools.

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer - Samuel Reed

Samuel graduated from Washington & Lee University with a degree in Computer Science. He has nearly a dozen years of professional programming experience. Sam has served as CTO of two technology companies: Tixelated and Global Brand Solutions of Hong Kong. He has contracted for many others as an expert on web applications. Samuel’s primary area of expertise is in the implementation of modern, real-time web applications and interfaces, and he is a regular contributor to open source projects.
